We want to find a way to live with each other so that we can feel good about ourselves and help the people we love feel good about themselves. We want to find a way that makes it possible for our children to be caring and responsible. Children have an inbuilt drive for discovery. Encourage your child to observe the world and to feel a sense of wonder for everything in it. (The Amazing Child page 34)

True sharing implies empathy; the ability to get into another’s mind and see things from their view point. Children are seldom capable of true empathy under the age of six. But prior to that stage they can share if we condition them to do so. Our understanding and support will lead our children be generous.
